The smartest candidate database software your team will ever use
Your database holds thousands of candidates. Atlas People Search makes sure none of them stay hidden. Describe the person you’re looking for in plain language, and Atlas builds the search for you, pulling from everything your team has ever sourced, placed, or spoken to.
Whether you type a job description, paste a brief, or set filters manually, you get to the right people faster than any other recruitment database software on the market.
Tell your database what you need, in plain English
Most candidate sourcing software makes you work around it. Atlas works around you. Type what you’re looking for in plain language, and Atlas searches your entire recruitment database to surface the best matches.
You can be as specific as you like, referencing companies, career stages, or career milestones, and Atlas will figure out what you mean. No filter-building, no guesswork.
Every filter you need, right where you'd expect it
When you want precision over speed, Atlas gives you a full suite of manual filters to work with. Role, company, location, seniority, education, industry, every dimension of a candidate’s profile is searchable, and you can layer as many filters as your search demands.
It’s the same powerful recruitment database software under the hood, with complete control handed back to you. Prefer AI? Switch back in one click.
Tell Atlas what matters, and what to ignore
Phrase match gives you precise control over what Atlas looks for inside candidate profiles. You can require specific skills or experience phrases that every result must have, set alternative keyword groups where at least one match is needed, and exclude anything that would make a candidate the wrong fit.
The result is a search that works within boundaries you define, so your team spends time on candidates who actually qualify.
Your search criteria, generated and ready for refinement
Describe who you’re looking for, and your AI candidate search turns instructions into a set of ready-to-use filters. Review what Atlas created, remove anything that doesn’t fit, and adjust before you run.
Repeat past searches quickly without telling the system about the same search twice. You get full visibility into how your recruitment database is being searched, without having to build it from scratch.
Find candidates based on when, not just where
Most AI candidate searches ask you to pick date ranges. Atlas People Search asks you to describe what you’re looking for and when.
Mention a company milestone, a funding round, or a career stage, and the system figures out the time period and builds it into your search automatically. That means you can focus on the experience that matters to your client, and trust that the right candidates will surface.
Cast a wider search net, or a narrower one, your call
A search for “Executive” shouldn’t miss the COO, the CTO, or the VP of Operations. People Search surfaces every relevant variation of a role, company, or industry based on your initial prompt, so you’re not limited to exact matches.
Use “Add similar” to expand your criteria, or tighten the list down to the specific titles that matter. Either way, you stay in control of how broad or focused your candidate pool is.
People Search FAQ
How is People Search different from a standard database search?
Most recruitment database searches require you to know exactly what filters to set before you start. Atlas works the other way around. Describe who you're looking for in plain language, and the system builds the search for you. You can still set filters manually if you prefer, but you're never forced to.
Can I use People Search if I have custom fields in my database?
Yes. When using AI text to search, you can instruct the talent search software to consider your custom attributes specifically. By default, it focuses on standard profile data, so you need to ask for custom attributes explicitly if they're relevant to your search.
How does Atlas handle vague or context-heavy searches?
Very well. If you reference something like a funding stage, a career milestone, or a general seniority level, the system resolves that context into concrete search criteria automatically. You can review the filters it generates before running the search, and adjust anything that doesn't look right.
Will People Search return candidates added by other people on my team?
Yes. The search runs across your entire shared database, including every candidate your team has ever sourced, placed, or spoken to. That's what makes it a genuine candidate sourcing tool rather than a personal search filter.

Atlas is truly remarkable and it is great to be an early adopter into what I believe is a game changer for the recruitment industry!
Atlas is ‘must use’ when it comes to recruitment technology. There’s no point in starting a recruitment business or continuing to run a recruitment business without it. You might as well say ‘I want to not win’ when you choose not to use Atlas. We cannot fathom the work that’s been done with Atlas and are excited to scale our team with it.
In my 15 years in recruitment, I’ve never experienced such a genuine game changer as Atlas! Everything has improved, admin is non existent, and productivity has increased 10x compared to our old CRMs (Bullhorn and Vincere). If you are in recruitment, you absolutely HAVE to try it!
