“Ultimately, Atlas is building the tools we want as recruiters, which is why the Loxos, the Vinceres, and the Bullhorns are lagging behind. They simply don’t have the same level of interaction or community around them.”

Williams Recruitment’s Favorite Atlas Features
Before discovering Atlas, Scott was trying different tools and platforms. He started with spreadsheets when launching his business, then tried Zoho Recruit, Recruit CRM, Manatal, and Loxo, some of which had AI features.
Early in his career, he used Bullhorn at an agency as well. However, none of these solutions fully addressed his needs for organization, automation, and intelligent assistance, gaps that Atlas would eventually fill.
He first came across Atlas on LinkedIn. Curious, he explored the landing page and was intrigued by what he saw. A demo call followed, and it quickly became clear that Atlas was exactly the solution he had been searching for. Scott has been using the Atlas recruitment platform for over a year now.
His first words were:
I live in Atlas. I probably spend more time in Atlas than I do talking with my wife.
When we asked him about his favorite features, the first thing he mentioned was “Atlas’s AI”.
Atlas is the first ATS built with AI at its core, which is why it is a game-changer. It offers a wide range of AI-powered features, and below you’ll find Scott’s favorite ones:
1) Atlas AI Chat
This feature supports Scott at every stage of the hiring process. It helps him create personalized outreach messages, generate reports from transcriptions, and instantly answer questions about candidate details, client requirements, and internal meetings.
It’s an AI system in your pocket, and it’s just absolutely fantastic.
He calls the AI “the brain of Atlas” and has said that, “Atlas wouldn’t be Atlas without it”. Scott uses it daily for call summaries and automatic to-dos, writing candidate submissions in his own tone, CV analysis, job specs, and client and candidate messaging.
He describes it as a built-in assistant that’s faster, cheaper, and more reliable than hiring someone, summed up perfectly in his words: “Atlas is trained in my voice, and every time I press generate, I’ve trained it in the settings to give it snippets to say, you know, my tone, how I present candidates, how I talk to clients, how I do sequences, so it’s still me, but it’s saying it better.”
2) Opportunities (Business Development)
Opportunities is one of the latest Atlas features, and it’s dedicated to business development. Atlas can rank every prospect using “flames”: the more flames a prospect has, the more engaged they are. This ranking is based on how many messages you’ve exchanged, how many replies you’ve received, and whether those replies were positive to your outreach messages.
Scott utilizes this feature to conduct large-scale outreach, identify intent through engagement signals such as the aforementioned “flames,” and transition high-intent prospects into highly personalized workflows.
He explicitly said this feature is game-changing and believes competitors will always be behind Atlas because of how quickly and intelligently it’s evolving.
3) Magic Columns (Rate Candidates’ Competencies)
This feature allows Scott to create custom columns in his database with any information he needs for each candidate. You can train it to evaluate specific competencies, ask targeted questions, and it will automatically provide insights and identify which candidates are the best fit for the role you’re recruiting for.
Scott loves how this feature helps structure and qualify data, making it especially valuable for candidate-to-job fit scoring and keeping the database clean and actionable. Even before full rollout, he’s actively waiting for it and already sees the value it will bring to his workflow.
Apart from the 3 features mentioned above, he added one more as a bonus: “Task Agent”. With the task agent, you can organize all your tasks. After every call, the platform automatically creates a task list for you.
The note-taker listens to client and internal conversations, identifies action items, and organizes them into clear, actionable tasks. You can simply check off each item as you complete it, no manual note-taking required.
Last but not least, he mentioned that he is looking forward to Magic Search, a new feature scheduled to be released in the coming months of 2026.
Integrations Have Made Recruiting Easier
There is a rich mix of integrations available on the platform, including WhatsApp, Teams, Outlook, and more. Scott mentioned that he primarily uses two integrations: WhatsApp and Ringover.
Scott uses Ringover for all phone calls, since calls made through the app are automatically recorded and logged in Atlas. He’s largely stopped using his mobile because Ringover ensures the conversation is captured in the CRM.
He also relies on WhatsApp for quick communication with clients and candidates. All messages sent or received via WhatsApp are synced with Atlas, so nothing gets lost, and every conversation is stored in the relevant contact profile.
I use Ringover and WhatsApp relentlessly with Atlas.
Atlas Listens to Its Users: A Key Differentiator
Scott has tried various recruitment platforms and CRMs over the years. As discussed in the conversation, he started with Bullhorn, then moved to other platforms that offered AI features, but were not built on AI from the ground up.
Over the past year, he has become a loyal user of Atlas. What makes Atlas stand out for him is that whenever he or other users have ideas or feedback, they can share them in a common Slack channel, and the Atlas community listens and builds new features.
So the main thing with Atlas, and what I’ve found to be the difference between you and other CRMs I’ve been part of, is that you listen, you want to know what your users want in the future, and you go and build it.
This approach makes him feel part of the Atlas journey, which is why he continues to be its proponent.
How Does Atlas Stand Out From Other Platforms?
As AI becomes more common, many platforms have added AI-powered features. What truly sets Atlas apart is that it is the only platform offering a dedicated feature specifically designed for business development, all powered by AI.
The Opportunities feature lets users run large-scale outreach while surfacing high-intent prospects and moving them into personalized workflows. With that feature, you can track and manage potential revenue-generating work, such as job leads, hiring companies, or prospects, all in one place.
Then, the feature allows you to organize and prioritize your tasks, view the status of each opportunity in a clear pipeline, and focus on the most promising leads using AI-driven insights, so you can move opportunities from discovery to close without needing to juggle multiple tools.
Scott mentioned that, unlike other tools where AI feels like an add-on, Atlas’s AI functions as a built-in assistant. It listens to calls, summarizes conversations, creates automatic to-dos, drafts candidate submissions in your tone, and helps with messaging, freeing recruiters from manual work and improving consistency and quality.
I’ve got everything I need in Atlas. It’s an all-in-one ecosystem.
William’s Advice to Recruiters
We know that comparing CRMs and finding the right one can be challenging, as there are many options available and each promises something different. When asked for his final thoughts, Scott was clear and enthusiastic, describing Atlas as a game-changer and praising the Atlas team for listening to users and building a tool that continues to evolve with their needs.
His final advice to other recruiting agencies was simple:
Book a demo and try it, don’t miss this train.
