About Gruzzy

Gruzzy is a cybersecurity recruitment agency based in the Netherlands, specializing in sourcing both permanent employees and freelance professionals within cyber and information security.

Since 2020, they have been helping cybersecurity professionals find the right challenge and supporting organizations in attracting top talent, offering no empty promises but a sincere and dedicated search for the best match.

They are a specialized recruitment agency with trained recruiters and a broad network of experts and talent across all areas, from Security Engineers and Architects to Privacy and Information Security specialists.

We spoke with Jesse Hendriks, the Co-Founder of Gruzzy, about switching to Atlas from a well-known US-based recruiting CRM that ultimately couldn’t match their technical requirements.

The Power of an All-in-One Recruitment Platform for Gruzzy

Before switching to Atlas, Jesse used another recruiting platform that had a rich assortment of features but lacked the necessary integrations. It was also expensive for what it offered.

After switching to the Atlas recruitment platform, he shared that “the ability to track everything in one platform is amazing.” He noted that they save costs with Atlas, as it has a clear, fixed payment structure, with only minor extra fees for certain integrations.

Going from a system where I had to do all of this myself to a system that does everything for you helped me focus on the conversations and the relationship building instead of the app.

Additionally, what really stood out to him is that everything can be transcribed straight within Atlas, whether it’s a phone call via RingCentral, or messages via social channels, email, or even WhatsApp.

This AI feature helps him remember all the small details and keep track of all candidate information, which is crucial in recruitment. Jesse shared an example: when he needed a candidate’s salary information, he asked Atlas’s AI and received an answer within seconds.

How Atlas is Being Updated Quickly

Jesse shared that, although he was very satisfied with the product from the start, he was also curious to explore more features, especially the Magic Search feature.

He mentioned that the Atlas team enabled the feature for him within a month so he could start using it, with full implementation planned over the following two months. The speed of delivery impressed him, making it easier for him to commit to Atlas and perform his work as a recruiter more efficiently.

Seeing that the stuff that is missing is actively being worked on and released in the timeframe communicated beforehand is excellent. I know I’ll just have to wait a bit for the release, and it’ll cover all my needs, for example, Magic Search.

Magic Search is a feature that will allow recruiters, after transcribing an interview or conversation, to search a candidate’s profile for specific competencies, projects, or technical and administrative details.

This enables quicker results without having to remember every little detail, streamlining the recruitment process and making candidate evaluation far more efficient.

Working With the Top AI Recruiting Features

We asked Jesse about his favorite Atlas AI features, and first and foremost, he highlighted the platform’s ability to track everything, every contact, transcript, and conversation, whether written or verbal. He noted that it’s very easy to use, saves him time, and reduces costs.

Additionally, he emphasized the value of the business development features, particularly the new Opportunities tool, which allows him to manage all client information, schedule outreach, and track leads and prospects efficiently.

Jesse also uses the Atlas Chrome extension daily, which allows him to add candidates directly to the platform and schedule outreach. He shared that “In the Netherlands, LinkedIn is very popular, with around 95% of the working population using it, making it a highly effective platform for recruiting.”

Last but not least, he highlighted the Task Agent feature, which creates a task list for every responsibility he has, helping him stay organized and proactive. With Task Agent, he can tick off completed tasks and easily see what still needs to be done.

Atlas actively reminds me about the tasks that I need to do… it helps me to just focus on the conversations and the relationship building instead of the app.

Transitioning to Atlas – the Recruitment Platform

Apart from this conversation, Jesse shared that he switched to Atlas due to the technical difficulties he was facing before. He explained that Atlas allows easy searching and tracking of discussions, follow-ups, and next steps, which enables faster responses and improves client and candidate interactions, especially in a competitive market like cybersecurity.

Jesse also highlighted that Atlas offers personalized support and high responsiveness, unlike large, impersonal systems, and that the platform aligns with the way he works.

This helps him work smarter, so clients find the right people faster, and candidates feel valued, while encouraging reflection on whether current tools truly align with how one wants to work.

A Note for Recruiting Agencies

Wrapping the discussion up, Jesse strongly advises all recruitment agencies to take full advantage of Atlas’s numerous integrations, noting that they work exceptionally well.

Use the integrations. When you integrate everything nicely, the whole system acts as the beating heart of your agency.

The WhatsApp integration, in particular, has been extremely helpful for him, as it allows all communication,  information, and contacts to be stored in one place.

He highlighted the platform’s business development feature, which enables users to create outreach campaigns and send them to new clients.

“The opportunities feature works really well because of the AI used by Atlas, and I find that really useful,” he added during our conversation, emphasizing how it makes his workflow more efficient.

In summary, when asked to describe the Atlas recruiting platform in three words, he said “easy, comprehensive, and automated.”
